The history of CAPHENIA
Our path. Our vision. CAPHENIA.
The name CAPHENIA is derived from ‘carbon phoenix arising from the ashes’ – a symbol of transformation, renewal and the belief in technological change. Where combustion ends with CO₂, something new begins for us.
Our path has been anything but ordinary. From the first patent idea to the imminent commissioning of our pilot plant Germany I in Frankfurt-Höchst in 2026, it has been a path characterised by scientific precision, entrepreneurial perseverance and bold decisions.
With strong partners from industry, research, and the public sector by our side, we have consistently turned challenges into progress and set new standards for renewable fuels and low-emission aviation.
